Rose Tea Mojito

These bright and colorful petals come from the pink Damask Roses. These edible rose buds are widely used in a Middle Eastern cuisine. Some other uses include cake decoration, jam, tea or in my case an ingredient for a new cocktail. I think it looks absolutely stunning in a glass teacup. Allow the petals to infuse in a cup and release its relaxing aroma before the sip.

Rose Tea Mojito
  1. 2 oz Rose Water (See notes below)
  2. 2 oz White Rum
  3. 1/4 oz Lemon Juice
  4. 1/4 oz Simple Suryp
  5. 6 tbl Spoons of Edible Rose Petals
  1. Mix all ingredients with a spoon in a glass teacup
  2. Sprinkle with the remaining petals and allow to infuse for a couple of minutes
  1. Steep about 5 table spoons of petals in a pot filled with 2 cups of warm water (hot water will burn the leaves) for 1 hour
  2. Allow to completely cool off
